Well, my wife and friends are hounding me to write more, so here we go.

Well, I am not much for blogging but here goes.

Today I am 30 years old. I am married with no kids, however we do have 3 kittens that do their best to entertain us. I usually get up around 5:00 am each day. Going to work early in the morning usually ensures that there is minimal traffic. Living in Houston, minimal traffic is a good thing. I am a Mechanical Designer working in the oilfield industry. Most days I love my job. I make 3d parts in a software called Pro Engineer. I get paid to do something I generally love doing. Other days, my job can be boring or just plain tedious, but I have come to realize that all jobs have their good and bad things and it's just a matter if the good outweighs the bad. Currently the good stuff is winning the fight. After work I have just recently started playing Final Fantasy XI. It is a role playing game online that you can play with other people from around the world. There are a few people that I have become great friends with and I have become really addicted to the game to the dismay of wife. Fortunately she has TV, so I think it balances out for the most part. Thats usually how my day goes during the week. Weekends tend to be a little different where I end up playing Final Fantasy a lot more. But I figure this is good because it keeps me from going out and spending money.

I have a few hobbies other than Final Fantasy. I love to golf, although I haven't been golfing in a while. I don't have many friends that golf and usually time constraints make it difficult. I also like to bowl. I have been on bowling leagues for the last 5 years. My average is about 200. I have actually decided to take a break from bowling. I feel that since I am only bowling once a week now that I have topped out and I don't think I will be able to get any better. I obviously have good games and bad games, but I just don't feel motivated to bowl anymore. My high games are only 279. My high series is about 721. Another thing that I used to enjoy doing is writing poetry. I haven't actually written a poem in quiet some time though. I still like to read though. I am currently reading several series. They are:

Another hobbie I have is watching movies. We have about 900 dvds now. I got tired of the dumb commercials they have nowadays, so now I very rarely watch cable TV. I lean more towards Sci-Fi, Drama, Action, Horror. Although I do like an occasional Notting HIll, Love Actually or The Holiday once in a while to my Wife's relief. I spend most of my free time playing games though. I have a PSP, PS2, PS3 and now games on my PC. We also have a DS that my wife plays. She likes Mario. I tend to play mostly RPG's. I do have Hot Shots Golf that I like to play every so often.

I don't have much family to speak of. My mom and dad are the only immediate family that I am in contact with. I don't care about the rest of them. My parents split when I was about 9 years old. My mom and I started a tradition a long time ago and have done it quite often over the years. We go out for dinner on Friday nights and then get her groceries etc. She doesn't have any friends so it's her treat for the week. To go out to eat and to spend time with me. I know that she will not be around forever, so I just try to enjoy the time while I have it. My dad is a truck driver so I see him about once a month or so. Other than my wife and her family that is it.
